"Meeting the class made up of LomiLomi people, hiking in the canyons to waterfalls coming face to face how my body changed in two years, listening to two speakers was an eye opener. The Island is made up of more than the tourist who paid to vacation there, more than spiritual people who are flying high on the energy and making huge shifts in their life or come there to get inspired. There is something even deeper that the island holds. There is a living library spread through the earth since it’s beginning. The mountains, land and sea hold the stories. The islanders, land and sea creatures, and stewards of the land hear and know those stories. It’s for us to listen and be move by them.
This time coming back to Kauai I got a glimpse of connecting to that and becoming aware of the depth of this place and what it holds. I’m grateful to you Kate how well you hold those stories that were pass to you through your teachers and those whom you connect with to re-educate/pass/share them along to your students and friends. It shows in your passion and work. Thank you. You really put a lot of work into this to help create a learning and healing experience for all of us to participate in. I’m also grateful for the class. Each person held and brought something to the table and class. " - 2019 Student
