Day 18

40 Days of Inspiration

I got an email today that my credit card was compromised. I patiently waded my way through the caller cycle of telling and retelling the errant email I had received, prompting my call.

After the third, patient retell, I got the confirmation that all was well.

"And, Kate Brenton," the clerk said into the phone.

"Yes?" I replied tentatively.

"Don't forget to smile."

And sometimes, it is that easy:  such a small kindness, such a larger power.
